This is another song with original lyrics, recorded this year - but actually written wrote before Med utsikt från fönstret. These two songs are closely related. Both production-wise, and in theme, as they follow the thread of love (what else).

Another Red Planet

My remix of Narcotic 303's track Red planet made it to a free EP, released by net-label Deep in Dub. I like the company of the other remixers, and my track is number nine, it was intented to be a very ambient interpretation of the original creation.

Looking Back (While going Forward)

I recently decided to do a re-release of my EP Looking back while stepping Up, originally released for free as mid-quality mp3's through the netlabel Mephtik, back in 2008. This blog existed back then too, and I recall promoting the release via this venue, among other places.

Originally this EP were released for free under a Creative Commons license, I decided last month that I thought they could be online under my self-managed Bandcamp site. This time in full quality, as intended. After looking through my archives, I managed to find the music, together with unreleased outtakes.

These were the liner notes, written for the original release, by game music enthusiast Jayson Napolitano:

"We have a special treat for listeners with this release. We're proud to present Suecae Sounds out of Sweden with this beautiful 3-track EP.

The opening track, "Jag Som Ingenting" is a mystifying vocal track with pumping electronic beats, gorgeous belltone arpeggios, and undeniably addictive vocals. It is truly a pleasure to listen to.

"Inside These Walls," on the other hand, has some of the trappings of traditional techno, providing a melancoly atmosphere. The chorus section really stands out with heavy percussion and bass notes. "Watching While the World Goes By" rounds the EP off with a busy ambiance created by constantly progressing percussion and a contemplative synth line.

We hope you enjoy listening to this EP as much as we have. We look forward to hearing what comes out of Suecae Sounds in the future."

Two for one, the Alpha 3 sale

It is december 2013. To commemorate the end of the year, I have a little offer for readers of this sparsely updated blog.

If you buy my EP Alpha 3 via Bandcamp, and contact me via mail before 2013 ends, I will set you up with a free download code to give to any relative or friend of yours.

These reviews just in (swedish)

Alpha 3 has been available for precisely one month and one day. I've gotten cheers, sales (but not that many) and three swedish reviews (that I know of) - and I am happy to see that they all contain interesting reactions on part of the reviewers.

Firstly, I got a fine review in Tidningen Kulturen. That article can be read here. Also the regional paper Värmlands Folkblad had a short but sweet text likening my work to that of Digital Mysticz, Third Eye Foundation and James Blake. VF thinks my work is: "in the twilight between ambient and bleak dubstep" and TK thinks I reminence the danish avant-pop act Choir of young believers. I feel honored.

Last but not least, my friend Daniel Kristiansson wrote down his impressions on his blog, in a piece I am also happy to link here.

This far I haven't gotten any english speaking reviews, but I've gotten positive reinforcement on behalf of listeners, and a few from my fellow producers. Of course, if you are a reviewer - do not hesitate to contact me. And if you haven't, feel free to listen and perhaps buy yourself a copy of Alpha 3, and tell me regardless what it makes you feel. 

Alpha 3 Out Now!

Today my newest EP just went live. It is called Alpha 3 and is available for listening and purchase through Bandcamp. It represents the pinnacle of my works written during 2012. Rewritten, finalized  and mastered 2013.

There has been many, long nights writing these musical pieces. All of these works have been available for listening through my Soundcloud, but the tracks have been rewritten and remastered to fit into this conceptual whole. Tiny Robots

My track Fragmented dialouges was recently released on Kahvi Collective's newest VA-album Tiny robots.  This marks my third time as part of their likewise third various artist's release, and I'm plenty happy with this. The music is electronic but diverse, but tends to look on things on the lighter side of things. The artwork, done by Anto, is really gorgeous in a curious kind of way as well. Oh, and it's free - as in freedom to give it to whoever you'd want to give it to.

Kahvi - The Terraform Album

I'm part of Kahvi collectives Various artist offering Terraform. Which was released some time ago, I almost missed it. My offering is a playful tune called Better then crayons. Other notable artists worthy mentioning are Xerxes, Lackluster and 4t Thieves. And a whole lot more.

I'm on the Tube

Apparantly my song 12 O' Clock is now out on Youtube. Such a nice surprise. I feel honored, so I decided it would be perfect for this blog too. The user Lemonodo seem to have taken it to him to create lots of these kinds of videos to songs issued under a Creative Commons license, there's plenty more to watch via his profile. Joy!

12 O' Clock Dubs Out Now!

Today my new two track digital release saw light on Load and Clear netlabel. An offering which could be described as heavily influenced by trip hop, electro and dub music. It's released under a Creative Commons license, which means that you are permitted to download and spread the music to your hearts content. It's free.

The music was originally written 2008, for another label - but for various reasons, one being the poor health I had the time, I had to shelve the music. Until today that is. So grab something to drink, download the music, and enjoy!

Delta 3 out on Kopp Netlabel

My track Delta 3 is out on Kopp netlabel's compilation Wavomatick. You can download the release for free here. You can also listen to the track via my Soundcloud. This is particuarly inspired by atmospheric ambient artists such as Janne Hanhisuanto, it also features a short sample on one of his original works which I've transformed beyond recognition.

A Song For a Contest

I signed up with a song for rekkerd.org:s "moving" contest. With over fifty songs / works of art, and a very diverse selection, my song "Moving while Asleep" is one piece among many. It will be interesting to see how people have voted, when the winners are announced.

Another of my favorite entrants are written by the artist Noizefield. Don't miss how the song changes after two minutes to incorporate an orchestral arrangement. The track takes on a completely different level of beauty by adding this layer.

Something very different offered came from artist nkurence. As I wrote on the artist Soundcloud, I'd liken the atmosphere of the sound to "as if someone is chewing, thereby transforming them (the sounds) into pure dissonant artefacts. Very imaginative!"

Secret Games
