A Personal Milestone

One album which has meant a great deal to me is DJ Shadow's Preemtive Strike. It's half way between a sample collage and Hip Hop. I especially consider the track In/Flux to be one of the masterpieces ot its time. You can read more about it here via Discogs. But it's rare that I just take it out to listen to, it only happens sometimes. But when I do and the time is right, it is the exact opposite of casual listening.

A short mix; a kind of "blandband", featuring works from two net-labels Luxus arctica and Konkretourist releasing music under Creative Commons. In 25 minutes I walk through ambient, experimental piano-music and field recordings. I feel as though it came through into a coherent whole, and I hope you enjoy it.
